River Rink

Our Client:

Federation Square

Our Project:

River Rink

Our Assignment:

As part of Fed Square’s 2017 winter wonderland program, a temporary outdoor ice skating rink ‘River Rink’ was installed on the River Terrace and open to the public.

FireWorks PR was to develop a PR Plan of activations and communications to promote River Rink across the pre-sale, launch and operations period.

The key objective was to increase awareness of the ice skating rink encouraging ticket sales.

Expected results included engagement with mainstream metro and regional media including exposure on major television networks.

Our Success:

FireWorks PR created a comprehensive PR & Communications Plan including a series of ongoing activations that allowed for continued media exposure over the seven week period of installation.  The activations were supported by intensive media pitching securing some excellent publicity for River Rink.
