Australia's First Families of Wine

11 of Australia's oldest family owned wineries come together to promote and celebrate quality Australian wine

In 2009, some of Australia's oldest and most respected family wineries came together to form Australia's First Families of Wine. Wanting to promote premium Australian wine and the provenance and stories behind each bottle, the families united to present a tour de force.

A decade on and AFFW is going from strength to strength. They continue to travel the world promoting the best of Australian wine, proving a powerful and respected voice on the global wine landscape.

FireWorks PR has worked closely alongside AFFW for over a decade in every aspect of the organisation.

From media and publicity to events, administration and social media, FireWorks has a deep understanding of the group's core values and ensures their presence in everything they do.

Together, AFFW and FireWorks PR have organised events all across Australia and internationally including engagement in the UK, China, Canada, New Zealand and the US and in 2019 will return to China, the US and the UK to celebrate their 10th anniversary.

Some highlights during our time together include the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, The Halliday Cellar Door Series with Channel 31 and countless tasting events where we have showcased an incredible array of wines and stories to the world.

FireWorks PR is all hands on deck both at the front line and behind the scenes. Along with organising and coordinating events, we are in charge of social media and all administration.

FireWorks PR creates and schedules engaging content for AFFW social media channels and website.

Next Gen

Whilst we are always working with AFFW on growth and development, we also work with the next generation of their rising family stars.

FireWorks PR runs events and workshops with the families' Next Generation to engage and involve them in the broader industry, to foster understanding and education as they are the custodians of their family legacy for generations to come.
