NO FEAR, THE COOKIE BOX IS STILL HERE!
AND EXPANDING IN CRAZY TIMES!

MELBOURNE'S FIRST ARTISAN COOKIE SHOP TO OPEN IN GLENFERRIE ROAD, HAWTHORN – TUESDAY 8 SEPTEMBER

Media Release - for immediate release

September 2020

I know it’s hard but try to cast your mind way back to February …… remember when we announced the launch of Melbourne’s first artisan chunky cookie shop – The Cookie Box – on Chapel Street? People went nuts for their cookies and the love has continued even through COVID and these challenging times for hospitality overall.

Well, here’s more good news. Owners Gabi and Rodrigo know they’re onto a good thing and they haven’t let the potential disaster of 2020 hold them down. Instead they’re full steam ahead, showing the confidence in their amazing cookies and their personal resilience, opening a new store and they are just bites away from opening day!

Yep, expanding The Cookie Box empire to a second store in less than 12 months! That’s some cause for applause! The world’s best cookies* are about to hit Hawthorn so watch out cookie lovers, The Cookie Box is heading your way.

Located at 679 Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn, in the heart of Glenferrie village, The Cookie Box will be opening on Tuesday 8 September from 10am, when the doors will be thrown open and the smell of their delicious cookies baking will fill the streets.

Speaking of their rapid expansion during such a difficult time, co-founder Rodrigo said, “When we opened earlier this year, we couldn’t have dreamt that Melburnians would embrace our cookies in such an amazing way. And even the craziness of COVID hasn’t stopped us making Melbourne’s best cookies and expanding into our second store in Hawthorn. It’s always been our philosophy to experiment, push boundaries and believe in yourself. We’re believers, that’s why we’re expanding and continuing to grow!”

The Cookie Box was founded in 2017 by Rodrigo and Gabriela. The couple, originally from Brazil, moved to Australia in search of a new adventure with their first stop, Perth. After nailing it, they looked further afield for a bigger challenge, landing in Melbourne at the beginning of 2020 and opening their first store in February.

The Cookie Box has eight permanent flavours on the menu, including a vegan option as well as an experimental new flavour each month. Your tastebuds will go nuts for the ‘Nutella’ and ‘Pistachio’ flavours. The ‘Raspberry’ flavour is also ‘berry’ good. They are all absolutely delicious!

If you’re keen to try out one of these amazing cookies, have no fear. They’ll be available to purchase instore (socially distanced of course!) for as little as five bucks a pop. Or grab a mixed half dozen box and receive 10% off the lot. That’s serious value for money if ever we’ve seen it given the top quality of the ingredients and the passion and care that goes into every cookie.

And don’t forget to keep up with The Cookie Box via Instagram (@thecookieboxaustralia) and Facebook https://www.facebook.com/thecookieboxaustralia/.

Make sure to snap and share your scrumptious cookies on socials BEFORE you scoff them down. But we won’t blame you if you can’t wait… we couldn’t either.
