Team 22: Game on for a better life
The countdown is on until the official launch of 'Team 22'. Here's a little sneak peak into what took place at launch week and all we've accomplished so far.
We are just ONE DAY AWAY from the Team 22 launch and excitement is quickly building around the highly anticipated initiative!
FireWorks have had the pleasure of working with this incredible initiative (as part of the Robert Rose Foundation) and driving media and public relations ahead of the big night.
So far, Team 22 has attracted a range of local and national press, which we could not be more excited about!
FireWorks PR have secured radio appearances on SEN’s Afternoons with Andy Maher, two features on ABC’s Radio National (Life Matters), ABC’s Conversation Hour with Jon Faine, a pic story in the Saturday Herald Sun and a feature on AFL.com.au.
There is so much happening and team FireWorks are thrilled to be part of it!
We kicked off launch week in spectacular fashion, with Team 22 playing a large role in the Victorian Wheelchair Football League season launch.
The afternoon kicked off with announcements from both AFL Vic’s Ricky Bell and Robert Rose Foundation’s David Poulton, who both spoke highly of Team 22 in their address.
A panel discussion followed shortly after, with Team 22 ambassador Tony Shaw speaking on behalf of the initiative.
Following the formalities, FireWorks PR jumped in to coordinate the media in attendance, which included Channel 7’s AFL team, Channel 9’s Footy Show and The Age – all ran smoothly and successfully, with countless past and present AFL players, along with current VWFL players getting involved.
Keep your eyes peeled to paper, social media and television over the coming days for all of that Team 22 content.
And that’s not all from media street this week, with ambassador Beau Vernon joining the panel on Fox Footy’s AFL360 and a feature on NITV’s Marngrook Footy Show.
We are almost 24 hours away from go time and we could not be more excited!
